A long-considered comment on the Christchurch tragedy:
PM Jacinda, your donning of the hijab as the immediate response was inspired, a truly Human move – BUT any further use of that symbol is liable to engender tolerance of Islam – NOT desirable in a nation that espouses Western values.
I had hoped international events might have alerted you to the dangers of such acceptance: I deplore the growing acceptance of Islam as ‘mainstream’, with proliferation of mosques seemingly at every Muslim household, and even Islamic schooling of the young.
Please, Jacinda, THINK! Islam was and is purely a reactionary greedy grasping for the riches of the Jewish and Christian traders of the Silk Road, just updated. Christianity having seemingly forgotten the full doctrine of “Love thy neighbour”, its companion “as thyself”, has seen a capitulation to Islam’s “grab, breed and swarm”. Nowhere in living memory has this been more true than the West’s oil-price skyrocketing, wimpish capitulation to Arabic demands for a ‘fairer share’ of the bounty of that black stuff beneath their feet – useless to them until Western discovery and development. With Arabic politics inseparable from Islam, that capitulation gave Islam the resources for Armament, mobility, ever-greater leeching of the West’s Technology, and its ever-Western push through Europe and the UK.
Here in NZ we’re in line for Islam’s Eastern push: through Afghanistan, Indonesia, the Philippines…skirting India and (indo-)China en route to the Americas … Can ANZAC spike it? If not, look out Panama etc: meso-America and Islam will encircle the globe, a boa-constrictor …
